The 1919 armchair by Poltrona Frau, also known as the "Cigar Chair", is a classic of the brand. Named after the year in which it was designed, the chair was originally made for Filiberto Ludovico di Savoia, Duke of Pistoia. Its features include a high back, hand-tufted cushions and an optional small armrest table for ashtrays or cup holders. The supporting structure is in aged solid beech wood, the spring system in the seat, back and armrests uses hand-woven biconical springs fixed to jute straps, and the seat cushions are filled with goose down for ultimate comfort.
